I love being home. Home is where the heart is. Home is where you can be yourself and have those around that love you.

Poem: Garden
I have a garden that I adore
It beckons me to plant more
What grows within is an art
That I cherish with my heart.

Poem: About our Savior
Before Christ was born He was known
Many prophets taught that our sins He will atone
He came to earth so we can live again
He died for all children, women and men
Our Savior, Jesus Christ, feels our pain
For He did not suffer and die in vain
He loves each of more than we can ever try to understand
For we see the nail prints in His mighty hands
He is the truth and the light
Yet there is a power darker than night
Who knows mankind with unknown powers
He tempts and taunts us throughout the hours
Our Savior wants us to succeed each day
To conquer the darkness and choose Christ’s way
To follow Him and to faithfully endure
And try to remain clean and pure
Through repentance and a broken heart
For Christ needs us to do our part
The way may be difficult it may seem
That is why our Savior died for our sin’s He did redeem

Poem: Ministering Sisters
Ministering Sisters can be such a sweet blessing
To each of our own lives it is so enriching
As sisters we serve with compassion
Charity on earth is our divine mission
When we are in the service of our sister
We are in the service of Heavenly Father
Such beautiful gifts were granted to women
To use on earth to prepare us for heaven
Let us each practice virtue and holiness
By willingly serving in ways that are selfless
Our sisters are important all the time
So we must lovingly be aware of the climb
Another great blessing is the ability
To get to know each sisters sweet personality
We lift, strengthen, empower, fortify and bless
We love, comfort, encourage, through our kindness
For great is our joy when we serve today
All these things I hope that we will remember I do pray

Originally this poem was about visiting teaching. I changed the words to Ministering Sisters since we now minister. The words fit perfectly to describe us as ministering sisters.
In Harris Ward of the Gilbert Stapley Stake we had a visiting teaching conference in March 2009. Caren Bevan who was the Relief Society president asked me to write a poem to read to all the ward sisters about Visiting Teaching. I was asked to read the poem during our visiting teaching conference. I prayed much over what I would write. I studied scriptures and read talks given by prophets, like Spencer W. Kimball and the General Relief Society Presidency. While doing my daily scriptures study a thought would come to my mind and I would quickly write it down. I was thus truly inspired when I wrote this poem.

Love~Wisdom~Trust
I would like to write about Love
Not just any kind, it is from above
It’s about the love of our dear Father
Our Heavenly Father, who loves us as no other
He sent a perfect example of how we should be
To someday gain the reward of celestial eternity
Next I write about Wisdom
The wisdom it takes to return to His kingdom
We came to earth to learn and to grow
Through our trials and mistakes we come to know
Of His loves He shows through the repentance process
His son, Jesus Christ, died so we could obtain forgiveness
Not only does our Father in Heaven has love for you and I
Our Savior proved His great love the day He died
Last I write about Trust
To have faith in God is definitely a must
He showed the way so we now should follow
The pathway of the Iron Rod for all our tomorrows
We were bestowed the greatest gift and treasure
So awesome and great we cannot dare measure
I so trust my Savior and my Father in Heaven
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

My dear Savior
I fall at your feet,
I am a lost little sheep,
I ask of thee,
I ask that thou would love me,
I desire of thee to hear my prayer,
I give thanks my dear redeemer!

Poem: Someone
Someone died
Someone took the pains that we have
That selfless Someone was crucifiedSomeone led the way
Someone gave His all
What wondrous love that Someone displayed
Someone loves me
Someone loves you too
That glorious Someone has set us free
Someone is very near
That marvelous Someone will lend an ear
Someone inspired me to write this story
Someone touched my soul
That magnificent Someone gave His Father glory

Poem: My Special Gift
I’ve been given a gift
That touches my heart
That blesses me so
That I dare would part
The gift that I have
That I love so dear
Is being that of a mother
It brings to my eye so many a tear
They were given to me
To raise all life through
To love, teach and guide
Be a friend for them too
I have plans for my children
To yet come to my home
To give them a life
Heaven is where they now roam
I love them now
I think of those precious children
Who need me, their future mother
To show the Christ’s plan
What a special gift
To call these children mine
To love all my children
Through the rest of time

Easter Dresses
Kallee on Easter Sunday in her new dress and sweater that she wore under her dress since it ties in the back.
My sweet Kendree in her ballerina dress. She was so thrilled!
Sadly Kindsey's dress didn't fit her. I'm going to ask someone who sews to help me out with hers so she can wear it. So she wore a pink dress with a hot pink shirt over it.
One more of Kallee to show the bow in the back.
