Mothers Day 2014

This Sunday is Mother's Day.

I love my mom!!
Thankful for her and her desire to be a mom.
I am the middle of seven children.
I have an older sister,
two older brothers and three younger brothers.

It is nice being an adult and still
honor my mother while being a mother myself.
I have five daughters who I love very much
and I am forever grateful to be a mom.
Being a mom isn't easy, but so worth it!

I also am thankful for all the women in my life
who have been an influence in my life
whether you are a mother or not.

Happy Mother's Day!!!
May you have a great day!

Love, Kristi

Broken metacarpel

Ouch! This is my sixteen year old daughters left hand.

This is her splint that was put on after her appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon.

Less than a week later after her appointment she was about to have surgery to put a permanent stainless steel plate over the bone to keep it in place. This is in the pre-op room

Not the best picture with the glare in her glasses. This is Kymber two days later, when my mom and I took Kymber to lunch at Serrano's on Gilbert and McKellips.

Interesting how all the pain and stuff that had to take place all because some kids were sword fighting without wearing protective gear. We all live and learn, sometimes the hard way.

Poem: My Special Gift

I’ve been given a gift
That touches my heart
That blesses me so
That I dare would part

The gift that I have
That I love so dear
Is being that of a mother
It brings to my eye so many a tear

They were given to me
To raise all life through
To love, teach and guide
Be a friend for them too

I have plans for my children
To yet come to my home
To give them a life
Heaven is where they now roam

I love them now
I think of those precious children
Who need me, their future mother
To show them Christ’s plan

What a special gift
To call these children mine
To love all my children
Through the rest of time

Poem: Twin Sisters

Twin sisters Kindsey and Kendree went to school
It was winter so they were wearing all wool
The snow was so pretty that they wanted to play
They wanted to stay outside all the long day
When the bell rang the girls headed for class
As soon as they saw their teacher they wanted a pass
A pass so they could play in the snow
Yet their teacher said to them, "no, no no!"
So they sat down and stared out the window
They looked out the window at the beautiful snow
When school was over they ran threw the door
The girls wanted to play more and more
Snow balls were thrown, angels were made, they had fun all day
Kindsey and Kendree did not want to stop their play

Poem: FAMILIES ARE FOREVER

Families are forever
God is very clever
He wants us to love our families
That includes everyone in the family tree
Families are not perfect
At times life can get hectic
But if we all stay together
So we can be a family forever
Families should love unselfishly
And be united as a We
We should respect our mother and father
And cherish our sister and our brother
Families were destined for eternity
So please live with peace and harmony

Growing up

My children are becoming so grown up. My second child who will be fifteen next month wrote and gave a great talk yesterday at my nephews baptism. I am very proud of her.

My oldest is seventeen. It still is hard to believe it!

Friday night I brought my three oldest to the movies and I also brought Hillary's boyfriend. It was fun.

The usher who was exit greeting the movie told my kids I look like I am 20. He was shocked I am 35. A few people I work with at the theater said I look very young. One apologized and I let her know it makes me feel good. I love when I bring my kids to meet the people I work with.

In the summer I'll have 3 teenagers. Beautiful young ladies. My twins will be eleven in June.

I love my daughters!!
