My husband made this tree shelf for my mom.

I think the shelf turned out beautifully.

Butterfly Paper Art

Christmas gifts for my daughters.
These were fun to make. I love the bright colors that my daughters prefer. Kallee likes blue, Kindsey pink and Kendree green.

To make this you need:
8.5 x 11 inch frame (any size will work)
Black card stock
Colored card stock
Butterfly punch
Glue dots
Paper cutter.

The frames I used were 8.5 x 11 but the paper was slightly too large. So I had to trim each paper slightly on top and bottom. Then I cute out many butterflies with each color. I then used the glue dots and just went from there. No particular pattern, just put them on.

Red Polka Dot Pillow Covers

Pillows I made for a Christmas gift for my mom.
Pillow Covers with pillow inserts.

The top of the pillow.

The bottom of the pillow.

The great thing about making pillow covers is you can wash them. Couch pillows get dirty and it's nice to be able to have a way to clean them.

This is one of my favorite fabrics.
I have many polka dot fabric pieces.

Christmas 2016

This was our tree this last Christmas. My daughters loved it because it is a pre lit tree and you can have it white lights or colorful lights or both. I preferred having it on white light but my girls would switch it to colorful. Either way it was very pretty.

I loved our tree topper. Our tree is 7.5 feet tall and the ceiling downstairs is only 8 feet high. I made the Santa tree topper work.

It was fun to decorate our house inside and outside. I really enjoyed it being our first Christmas as a family. Jason and I go married in June so Christmas Eve we were married for six months. We loved spending Christmas together.

We opened gifts then go ready for church. Church was at ten o'clock in the morning. We had a great day.

This was before church. I was wearing a cardigan that Jason bought me in Hawaii. He was wearing one of his new ties he got for Christmas.

I bought us matching shirts for Christmas. Ha Ha!
I love my awesome husband!

Christmas Stockings

I bought these three stockings at Target.
Saturday the girls used fabric paint to
put their names on and decorate them.
Just a few bucks spent and
these will last for quite a while.

Merry Christmas

I love Christmas. It can be stressful and I go to work even when sick so I can provide presents for my girls. They are getting a lot of practical stuff that they need anyways. This time of year is perfect for baking cookies and making other goodies to give away and enjoy with my family. It's a fun time to enjoy hot chocolate and spend time with my children. It is very relaxing and enjoyable to put on Christmas CD's or simply listen to the Christmas songs on the radio. Some times I turn off the CD or radio and just sing Christmas songs with my kids while driving to their schools or whenever. I still love to see a house with lots of lights just like I did when I was a child. I have a candle burning as I write. I am about to go to work and then my family and I are going to attend a Christmas party at my church. I signed up to bring cookies, so I plan on making them after work. I am very blessed to have the capability to earn an income. Even when days like to today I would rather be home.

I mostly love being able to celebrate the life of Christ. I love the Savior and redeemer of the world. The atonement is the greatest gift I can ever have. Better than any material gift I could ever receive. Knowing what the Savior did brings more joy than I could ever describe. Peace oversteps the trials if I only trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Have a great Christmas and may everyone enjoy the life we have.
