Christmas Tree Shelf

My husband made this tree shelf for my mom.

I think the shelf turned out beautifully.

Birdhouse shelf with thread

The finished product turned out really nice and I like having a creative way to store thread. I like all the pop of different colors.

This is the shelf I bought in an antique store in Texas. I bought it knowing I would paint it.

This project took much patience. It was hard to paint over the dark green. I had to paint, paint and paint more.

I do love how it looks and am glad I did endure spending the time to paint this. It's hanging up in my sewing/craft room.

Birdhouse shelves and box shelf

I love adding color to my house and have fun painting wood crafts. I started using metallic paints and am impressed by how pretty they are.
After painting these I stenciled with paint.

This is a rectangle box I painted metallic silver.

Cars made of wood

Whenever I see wood cars I think of my Grandpa Robert Crowe. When I was a young child he made wooden cars for all his grandchildren.

When I was painting them I took off the wheels and to paint them I used a small screw driver to hold them up and my blow dryer to dry them quickly.
I love to paint wood.

Heart necklace

I painted 3 wooden hearts red. Put them in string to make a necklace.

Red Trellis

This was my craft project that I did today. I used an old vinyl tablecloth on my dining room table and painted it with a sponge brush. I know it would of been a lot faster to spray paint it, but I do have a ton of paint already. I turned out as good as I thought it would.

The hard part was digging a huge hole to put my grape plant in. I dug the huge hole and filled it with miracle grow potting soil and put in the grape vine and then watered it. It sounds easy, but takes work. I hope it does well. It would be awesome to have fresh grapes growing in the backyard.

This is the before picture.
