Happy Easter of 2014

I love the Savior, Jesus Christ.
I am thankful for what he did for me.

I have plastic eggs and candy for the kids.
We'll have a nice dinner. Yet the main reason for Easter
is not to hide eggs and see what candy you can get.

When the Savior died he fulfilled His mission.
He suffered and died for all of us.
He was resurrected and He lives.

So eggs are a way to think about new life.
A chicken hatching out of her egg.
A cute little bunny entering this world.
Lots of pretty flowers are blooming everywhere.

Our family will go to church like we do each week.
Yet on Easter the messages will be all about Jesus Christ.
Most of our household participates in the choir
so we'll sing a beautiful song about the Savior.

I hope you all have a great Easter this year and remember why we have Easter. To celebrate the life of our Redeemer, Jesus the Christ.

Who I am.....

My FAITH.....
Member of...The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and very thankful for that sweet blessing in my life! I love being a part of such a great work. I have a strong testimony of who I am and why I am here. That faith is a comfort to me. I am firm in my testimony of prayer to a loving Father in Heaven. I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, came to earth as the first and only begotten son of the Father. He atoned for our sins and loves each of us. He made it possible for us to live again. I love and cherish the scriptures and read them daily.

My LOVE for POETRY.....
I have loved writing poetry since I was about eleven years old. I wrote several from that age until age thirteen that sadly I threw away when I was fourteen. I thought they were not very good. I realized as an adult that I was young and I wrote from a young persons mind. A few months before I turned fourteen I wrote a poem I thought was good and worth sharing. Not in a boastful or arrogant way. That is...The Beautiful Land. I did edit a line many years later as to not repeat a certain adjective too many times. I hope you may enjoy reading them. I feel I could of written a lot more. I feel they are inspired and not always easy. Many I have had to pray about and I have spent time to get it right.
