Poem: SUNSET

I saw a sight today
That took my breath away
Beauty is an understatement
For it was everywhere apparent
Glorious to look upon and see
The marvel that was before me
It did capture my heart
To behold such an exquisite art
It did so put a smile on my face
Alas time took upon itself a race
For at length darkness came
Nature and due course is to blame
Yet tomorrow the splendor will return
To look up and see my heart does yearn
The object that my attention does hold
Is the sunset and radiant colors so bold

Poem: BEAUTY

The beauty
Of your soul
The powers
In your heart
The joy
That is in you
Is indeed
A marvelous art.
You are the one
That is precious
And few
So loving and choice
Honest and true.

Poem: THE BEAUTIFUL LAND

When you wake up every day
And see the wonderful sights
Then you know of the beauties
That fall by day and by the nights
The love in the sky
That reaches all around
The flowers, plants and trees
That are just standing on the ground
The wonderful mountains
That seem to touch the sky
The amazing sunsets
Right before nigh'
Not only the land is so beautiful...
You inside is so beautiful too

Poem: FRIENDS

Friends are important,
At any time.
Friends need reaching to,
So beware of the climb.
Friends are there,
Whether you know it or not.
Friends are worth a lot,
But not to be bought!
Friends give encouragement
Can you so the same?
Friends need complimented,
Not told they are lame.
Friends need to be noticed,
So keep out an eye.
Friends are all around,
All through the day and nigh’.
Friends should listen,
And so should you.
Friends need to be loved,
And they should love too.
Friends are nice,
But you need to be friends with yourself.
Friends who meet with the up above,
Are worth more than any wealth.

Poem: THE PAST WITH YOU

The moments we shared
The times that you cared
The love in your eyes
The emotional ties
The knowledge we learned
The love that freely burned
The great joy we knew
The bad times were few
The time that we spent
The kind words all meant

Chocolate inside out cookies

1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cocoa or 1/4 dark cocoa
2 1/2 flour
6 ounce vanilla chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Mix liquid ingredients including sugars. Stir in dry ingredients. Bake at 350° for 9-10 minutes. This batch makes a few dozen cookies, depending on the size.

Notes: When pulling out of oven the cookies do not look done but they are perfect. After a minute transfer to cooling rack or clean towel.

Variation’s:
Substitute chocolate chips instead of vanilla chips, or do a mixture of both.

Use half all purpose flour and half oat flour (blend oatmeal in blender). You may need to add a bit more flour. (Most can not taste the oat flour.)

Ink drawings

The owl picture I did in my middle twenties.
The wolf picture was when I was 14.

What you do...

Take glass out of frame and clean
Find drawing you want to trace
Then lay glass in top of picture/drawing
Use old fashioned ink pen (you can buy at a craft store)
Use ink and trace the picture
Let dry
Place in frame and enjoy
Fun and easy!

Poem: Life of a mom

Laundry to do today
Dishes to be washed
Floors need mopped
What more can I say?

The vacuum is calling my name
Showers must be clean
My plants need to be watered
Each day seems the same!

Cookies should be baked
Dinner has to be prepared
Which means I need groceries
Enthusiasm just can't be faked!

My feet are tired and sore
My back could use a rest
Yet there is much to do
Can I handle much more?

Poem: OUR SAVIORS LOVE

Our Saviors love for us is very great
He is our wonderful and awesome magistrate
He gave His life so we might be
Happy for all eternity

Our Savior did what no man could do
He redeemed our sins for me and you
He suffered them in Gethsemane
So we may be set free

Our Savior bled from every pore
Through Him He has opened up the door
So we should open up our hearts to Him
To defeat Satan and win

Our Savior is mightier than all the earth
He knows our potential. He knows our worth
We should rise and be like Him today
For that is the only way

Our Savior wants us to share the light
He set the way so we might
Live with our Father up above
All because of His love
